Camps are 3 days, Tuesday - Thursday 9:00am - 3:00pm

Family membership is required in order for the child to attend camp

Bring your own lunch and drinks, water will be provided.

The Gulf Coast Gem and Mineral Society presents the annual summer camp programs for kids aged 9-17. You will learn about rocks, minerals, fossils, gems and start your own collection with at least 24 specimens. Included are projects, printed materials, demonstrations, and the use lapidary equipment. After attending the Rock Camp 1, children are eligible to attend the Advanced Lapidary Camp 2 the following year. This advanced camp focuses on lapidary arts and using lapidary equipment, fluorescent minerals, and advanced identification of minerals.

Microscopic World
Rocking on the computer
Maps

Upon successful completion of the Kid’s Rock Camp, kids will receive badges from the American Federation of Mineral Societies.  Presentation of awards will be at general GCGMS meeting in September
